IndustryCRM Enhanced Security

With Microsoft Dynamics CRM, permissions are set at the record level to allow users to read, create, update and delete entities .

IndustryCRM Enhanced Security allows I.T. to define business rules based on the user or entity values, to define security permissions at the field level. Furthermore, I.T. can specify unique forms and views for each class of business rule, delivering unique, customized experiences for the users.

This extension of Microsoft Dynamics CRM security allows information access to be managed through the UI, supporting the delivery of different user experiences based on the user’s role and entity values, either within one specific line of business, or across multiple business units.

For example, views and fields seen by a claims administrator will differ from those seen by the underwriting group in an insurance company.

Effective use of Enhanced Security ensures compliance with internal role-based workflow, industry regulations and privacy laws.

Enhanced Security is comprised of three core features:

  • Rule-based Forms & Views, which defines the business rules governing access to information in CRM, and the forms and views seen by each user.

  • Field Level Security, which implements read/write permissions at the field level, as defined by the business rules.

  • Auditing, which captures data changes at the record and field levels, including author and date of change, ensuring only authorized users can see and search audit records.
